While exploring a trail near Victor, Colorado I stumbled upon this dilapidated house. This is the last remaining home in the old mining camp of Independence in Vindicator Valley. Those who lived in Independence often worked at the nearby mining operations. Today this building remains to help tell the story of the Vindicator Valley mines and the lives of those who lived in Independence.
